As a woman of color, LGBTQ-owned, San Francisco-based small business, Into The Streets is committed to empowering female, Indigenous, brown, Black and queer communities realizing economic liberation while making our city a more just, joyous, and environmentally regenerative place.
As practitioners of play and community development, Into The Streets convenes diverse stakeholders to collaborate, solve problems, share a vision, and make immediate and lasting change in their communities. Founded in 2023 by event and community organizing veterans, Into The Streets is helping lead San Francisco’s revitalization efforts with a focus on culture, community, and creativity — all with the debut of Bhangra & Beats Night Market.
Non Stop Bhangra is a unique experience that celebrates the beautiful and vibrant spirit of Bhangra, a traditional Punjabi folk music and dance. Imagine a scene from a Bollywood movie smack in the middle of a thumping dance floor with swirling colors, the rhythm of pounding feet, bouncing shoulders, the relentless energy of brilliant beats, and wall to wall smiles - that's NON STOP BHANGRA.
Featuring dance lesson and dance performances with Dholrhythms Dance Company, an eclectic mix of DJs, live drummers, and guest musicians. NSB has consistently been voted the "Best Dance Party" in the San Francisco Bay Area and is celebrating 20 years in 2024.
“Bhangra & Beats Night Market is presented in partnership with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Mayor's Office of Daniel Lurie.
"I’m thrilled the Bhangra and Beats Night Market is returning for a third year to celebrate South Asian culture and the community’s contributions to our city,” said Mayor Lurie. “This event will strengthen local businesses and transform Front Street into a thrilling hub of arts, culture, and entertainment.”
